14 Years ago, Don was diagnosed with MS. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. The cause of MS is still unknown. Scientists believe that a combination of environmental and genetic factors contribute to the risk of developing MS. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease.
After being active and living an athletic lifestyle, the disease has severely hampered Don physically, but a born fighter, he continues to progress and after being introduced to Aleafiate CBD by his wife, he has begun to see change the way he physically and mentally approached each day. We asked Don,
What has your general fitness been like after your diagnosis?
The diagnosis changed my life drastically. I ride an exercise bike for about 15 minutes a day, but it does zap my energy. It’s difficult for me to get down on my knees, but I make myself at least 3 days during the week to do sit ups. Considering the fact that I’ve had MS as long as I have, and I can’t do physically a lot of things, I still work to keep myself mobile, however my weight is still down from my playing weight when I was with the Dolphins.
What brought you to CBD as a solution?
After my wife spoke with Rickey, she decided that that may be good for me. She tells me all the time, one thing that the Aleafiate CBD oil did for me, was that it helps keep my demeanor calmer! I know sometimes I can be a little hard-headed, but this has helped me to be a little bit calmer and more reasonable. My wife gives me the Aleafiate CBD oil first thing in the morning when I wake up.
